Throne of darkness editor7/11/2023 You may want a play that calls for lots of firepower, so push the button for "cobra" and your samurai will take up positions casting spells and shooting their bows from afar. For example, let's say you're going up against a group of archers. The tactics menu lets you set up a dozen "plays," which you can quickly access via either the mouse or hotkeys. All of your seven samurai can use melee weapons and spells (at least to a certain degree - the Wizard is obviously the most powerful spell-caster of the bunch), and with the exception of the Brick and Berserker, all of your characters can use ranged weapons as well. The tactical editor lets you set your character's formation as well their stance - aggressive, defensive, or neutral - while the role editor lets you pick the order of your samurai's weapon preference - melee, range, or spell. The tactics menu is split into two parts, the tactical editor and the role editor. While Throne of Darkness is an RPG hack-'n'-slash at heart, it offers a lot more depth than action RPGs we've seen in the past, and the tactics menu is one of the major defining aspects of ToD. One of the big new additions to the game is the tactics menu, where you can create formations and strategies similar to sports games for your samurai heroes. ![]() Since we've already given you a good bit of basic info and background on the game in our earlier preview, we'll just get right into the meat and tell you about what we saw today. ![]() Since we've been eagerly awaiting this one, we stopped by the Click Entertainment offices today to catch a glimpse of how Throne has been progressing, and Ben Haas was more than happy to show us. ![]() Now Click Entertainment's main focus is Throne of Darkness, that aforementioned Japanese-flavored action-oriented Diablo-esque hack 'n' slash action game.
